I am getting a lot of Error 404 – File not Found at this site as I click on “links” on the right hand side of the Home page-

    Just and observation

Thanks Robert for setting this up. Actually, EASI is independent. I used to work at RIT which is why one of our Web sites is there. Now, of course, I got sick of snow and moved to sunny California

Thank you Norm for the correction. My name is Melissa McAvoy. I am a web developer and accessibillity specialist helping Robert out with this project. The RIT part was my mistake and I have corrected the posts.

I missed the actual presentation because of a meeting but enjoyed listening to the archive and will attend the others. (I’m afraid more meetings this Tues). The presentations are very timely since the librarians I work with at the State Library are interested in setting up a blog. However, It must be accessible since, even on a third party remote server,a blog represents the State Library and we follow our state web accessibility guidelines.

I was surprised to see the use of “Snap” as a preview for links and wonder if that is considered accessible because you have the link but not any other information for someone using a screen reader.

Also wondering if the calendar on the right is accessible-so many like that are not. It seems so from the code.

I’ve just tested your site and it failed W3C validation (5 minor errors) and HiSoft’s WCAG 1.0 test. All very fixable.
